I’ve been pretty negligent about this blog, but I wouldn’t miss this thing. Analu just tagged me, and all the cool kids are doing it

The rules are:

My random facts/habits

1 - Moiré is my online alias since 1999. It’s an interesting type of graphical pattern, and a kind of silk. Also, it sounds a little like my surname, Moreira.

2 - I smoke cigars. Not very often, specially because they’re expensive, but once or twice in a month I indulge. Also, I love going to lebanese or egyptian teahouses to smoke the hookah/ shisha/ narguilé. I’m buying one for myself as a christmas gift ;).

3 - I’m a vegetarian, and used to be a vegan for 2 years before. I’ve became a vegan for environmental reasons, and ended up discovering my body works much better with no animal products - no cramps, no pmsing, no colds, and lost a fair amount of weight (which I’ve totally regained and some more when I started eating cheese and eggs again :P). I’ve just stopped because RL was (and is) crazy, but I’ll become a vegan again - maybe not so strict as I used to be, but I will.

4 - I have an alter ego, Moreirão (that would be “big Moreira” in portuguese). Not a second personality, more like a character I like to play for fun. He’s one of those macho latino types, a chauvinist, and I blame him for everything. Drank too much? Not me, Moreirão did it. Told the boss to fuck off? I’d never do that, Moreirão did it.

5 - Moreirão is the emperor of Moreirovia, an unexistant Eastern European micronation, and I’m his prime minister. We’re both on exile here in Brazil since the Great Revolution, when the Communist Stoats took the power. We had to heavily bribe the Party with tons of fresh duck eggs to escape being executed. No, really. Fact # 5 is that, as you can see, I like to make up absurd stories on the spot :).

6 - I don’t drive. Never cared to learn, a bit afraid of cars to try, and I really don’t need a car where I live. Some regions of São Paulo, specially downtown, are very walkable, and public transit is not that bad, except when it rains.

7 - Watercolor painting is one of my deepest passions. There are some (very old) works of mine on my deviantart. Lately I can barely find time to paint, but I really need to. Starting next year, I’ll probably start giving classes on drawing and painting, and will start a blog about watercolors.

8 - I’m an anarchist.
