I’ve been pretty negligent about this blog, but I wouldn’t miss this thing. Analu just tagged me, and all the cool kids are doing it

My random facts/habits

1 - Moiré is my online alias since 1999. It’s an interesting type of graphical pattern, and a kind of silk. Also, it sounds a little like my surname, Moreira.

2 - I smoke cigars. Not very often, specially because they’re expensive, but once or twice in a month I indulge. Also, I love going to lebanese or egyptian teahouses to smoke the hookah/ shisha/ narguilé. I’m buying one for myself as a christmas gift ;).

3 - I’m a vegetarian, and used to be a vegan for 2 years before. I’ve became a vegan for environmental reasons, and ended up discovering my body works much better with no animal products - no cramps, no pmsing, no colds, and lost a fair amount of weight (which I’ve totally regained and some more when I started eating cheese and eggs again :P). I’ve just stopped because RL was (and is) crazy, but I’ll become a vegan again - maybe not so strict as I used to be, but I will.

4 - I have an alter ego, Moreirão (that would be “big Moreira” in portuguese). Not a second personality, more like a character I like to play for fun. He’s one of those macho latino types, a chauvinist, and I blame him for everything. Drank too much? Not me, Moreirão did it. Told the boss to fuck off? I’d never do that, Moreirão did it.

5 - Moreirão is the emperor of Moreirovia, an unexistant Eastern European micronation, and I’m his prime minister. We’re both on exile here in Brazil since the Great Revolution, when the Communist Stoats took the power. We had to heavily bribe the Party with tons of fresh duck eggs to escape being executed. No, really. Fact # 5 is that, as you can see, I like to make up absurd stories on the spot :).

6 - I don’t drive. Never cared to learn, a bit afraid of cars to try, and I really don’t need a car where I live. Some regions of São Paulo, specially downtown, are very walkable, and public transit is not that bad, except when it rains.

7 - Watercolor painting is one of my deepest passions. There are some (very old) works of mine on my deviantart. Lately I can barely find time to paint, but I really need to. Starting next year, I’ll probably start giving classes on drawing and painting, and will start a blog about watercolors.

8 - I’m an anarchist.

i bought this dress by dazzle almost a year ago, when i was a newbie, and actually never wore it besides for trying it out - i love it, but it’s not the kind of thing you wear everyday. i thought about passing it on to an alt or a friend, but i decided to keep it just for one reason - it has my real name.

This week I have a lovely new hairstyle for you. Bianca is a cute, shoulder lenght style, with chunky curls, avaliable in two variations (with and without bangs). I love the way it turned out, it actually resembles a lot my real hair. Hope you like it as much as I do!

hey, guys, moire here. i’m just posting to let you know i’m on a trip, and couldn’t go inwolrd since last friday. i thought i’d be able to log on secondlife from here, but we tried to install the client on my boyfriend’s machine and it didn’t work. anyway, i really needed a break

Well, I finally got myself a blog.
I’m posting a couple of my newest releases, just to fill the empty space:)

Carmen and Dolores are vintage inspired dresses, with satin details, a deep neckline,  optional prim poofy sleeves and skirt ruffles - the dresses looks great without the prims, just a bit more casual. Carmen comes in a cute polkadot fabric and is avaliable in four bold colours - bright white, flower pink, ladybug red and navy blue -, with a prim flower arrangement in matching colors for your hair.

Dolores comes in a nicely textured fabric in 4 solid colors - chocolate brown, latte, aubergine and crimson (the last two can look very goth if you want), and a small satin pillbox hat decorated with flowers and a veil.

Regina is a glamourous velvet mermaid style gown, with contrasting prim lace accents and a tulle underskirt. The texturing is exquisite, it feels soft and shines like real velvet. The dress comes in black with white accents, red/black, blue/white and white/black.
